The McCrometer Mx Magmeter is an advanced
electromagnetic flowmeter, offering superior
reliability for a variety of water and
wastewater applications. It delivers up to +/-
0.5% accuracy and +/- 0.1% repeatability for
almost all conducting liquids and slurries.
The Mx Magmeter is also the only flowmeter of
its kind designed specifically for water and
wastewater use. It's pressure-tested
fully-welded body tolerates even the most
inhospitable operating environments, and it is
easy to install and easy to use.
- Operation
To create measurement readings, the Mx
Magmeter relies on two compact, high density
field coils mounted on the flow tube. These
coils generate an electromagnetic field inside
the pipe section. As conductive liquid flows
through the pipe, it creates a voltage.
Electrodes inserted through the lining and
into the flow tube sense the voltage and
convert it to a direct flowrate reading and a
4 to 20 mA and pulsed totalizer outputs.
Measurements are easily read on the
flowmeter's digital display.

Non-Intrusive Design
The Mx Magmeter is a reliable workhorse that
provides virtually worry-free measurement. It
features a non-intrusive design that allows
for free passage of flow without clogging and
without wear on the measurement sensors.
Unlike mechanical meters, there are no moving
parts to maintain or replace. The
obstructionless flow tube also assures minimal
headloss.
- Submersible
for Application Flexibility
The NEMA 6P rated meter body of the Mx
Magmeter is exceptionally robust and can be
fully submerged without damage. Microprocessor
electronics are mounted in a remote enclosure,
keeping them safe and dry at all times. Remote
electronics also mean users can easily access
the digital readout no matter where the
flowmeter is located. Optional microprocessor
electronics can be direct-mounted onto the
flowmeter body when preferred for a specific
application.
